I have a benign condition with my lumbar vertebrae. This was severely exacerbated in August 2009 and furthermore in October 2009. In total, I have been off work for 7 months prior to my MBST treatment. My wife and I have the unfortunate experience of the delays with NHS treatment and waiting. As it looks now, this has been more of a blessing. I was scheduled for spinal injections in Feb 2010, but was left not expecting an appointment until end of March into April.

By chance, we stumbled across an advert by Ann Clare Physiotherapy. Here our journey of recovery began. I researched this treatment thoroughly online, I have some advanced medical knowledge, so I could relate and understand the concept of this treatment.

Eventually, we contacted Ann to discuss assessment and treatment further, making an appointment for the coming weekend. To be completely honest, we were very sceptical of how good this would be. Living with pain and moderate disability for a long time, our morale and confidence in finding an effective treatment were next to nothing. We had nothing to lose. Yes the treatment costs, to be fair, I would pay double, see the results in myself.

Then there is Ann. Ann is part of this treatment, a wonderful lady where you could not find anyone else as passionate and dedicated. Once in a while, you stumble across an individual who brings hope back into your life. Ann is one of these people. I received a far excelling standard of treatment and care than I could imagine. It is almost like this is Ann’s hobby.

A very relaxed environment, a personal treatment regime, to suit needs, on top of the actual MBST treatment.

I had 9 ( 1 Hour ) sessions of the MBST. After one of these sessions, the following day, I woke up pain free...YES…pain free, I stood up straight and walked without having pain. We could not believe it and it didn’t stop there. Each day, my mobility, my sanity and our lifestyle made bounding strides.

It has been 2 ½ weeks since I finished the actual treatment and all I can say is...WOW.

My mobility keeps getting better, I am more active, my pain is almost non-existent. It only comes back if I do more than I should. Pacing myself is the hardest thing about this treatment. I want to run before able too. I am able to be more active in our home, I can tolerate longer periods standing, so have started cooking more, I am more active in the garden also, to the point that last week, I put half dozen fence posts in the ground, carried some patio slabs around and fully serviced our car. All of which would have been a big no no, both in mind and action.

My wife says to me that I look taller and that my back seems to be a different shape to what she has seen recently. My back doesn’t look in pain anymore. I used to get a lot of compensatory muscle spasms and pain all over my back. Since MBST, my back has not been in spasm once.

Before treatment with MBST, my future was a year off work, waiting for spinal injections and lumbar fusion. Now, and this is the miracle. I have spoken to my surgeon and turned down the injection and the operation. That is how great I now feel. My life has been transformed from a prisoner in my own home to one of simple freedom. That is the clear extremes that this treatment has worked in.

To re-assure whoever reads this, we were as sceptical as they come. But my wife and I can testify to you, this treatment works. It has revolutionised our life. The cream on the cake, is that instead of waiting to return to work next year, I am planning on starting back in April, 6 weeks after treatment.

We have recommended this treatment to a friend who also has had a debilitating lifestyle due to back problems, similar amazing results are happening with him that I experienced.

I would have no doubt to recommend this treatment to anyone, if you are sat on the fence not sure what to do…GO FOR IT.
