MBST Magnetic Resonance Therapy

knee treatment knee

A new innovation in physiotherapy is called MBST Magnetic Resonance Therapy. MBST is used for the management of :

  • Arthritis of the shoulder, elbow, hand, and finger joints
  • Arthritis of the hip, knee, foot, and ankle joints
  • Sports injuries of the back, knee, foot, elbow and ankle joints
  • Discomfort related to ligaments and tendons
  • Meniscus pains
  • Arthritis of joints of the spinal column
  • Degeneration of intervertebral discs
  • Osteoporosis

Physiotherapy and MBST work very well together

mbst program cardEach condition has a single microchipped card and this is inserted into the MBST therapy machine. The card types are 5 hour and 9 hour sessions depending on the severity of the condition. This particular card has been programmed to treat the neck.

Learn how Magnetic Resonance Therapy helped a local lady with osteoarthritis of the left hip and allowed her to regain the mobility and movement and improve her quality of life.

Discover how Magnetic Resonance Therapy helped to treat a squash player with cartilage trouble and reduced their pain after an operation.

How physiotherapy modalities plus MBST gave a local patient the relief from back pain that was dominating his life.

MBST - uses Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Signals from a highly specific alternating electromagnetic field that reacts with damaged cartilage cells and stimulates their regeneration. Pain and reduced joint mobility, symptoms that you will be familiar with. MBST now offers the possibility to enchance the functionality of the joint without surgery.

I was in pain and unable to walk properly on my left ankle after falling on holiday….By the end of the last treatment of MBST on 20th March 2008 I was able to walk without any pain whatsoever. Even walking downstairs was pain free - amazing.

Ann Clare has used this equipment since July 2007 with remarkable results where cartilage has regenerated within a joint. Where osteoarthritis symptoms have settled down and in many cases has resolved(cleared). Pain in areas treated such as around the hip, knee and back has gone.

Ann Clare added the MBST equipment to her physiotherapy practice in July 2007. The reason being on account of osteoarthritis sufferers. In our community many people who have been so active and then they are told they have osteoarthritis by their doctors.

You may have received x-rays or an MRI scan which illustrate arthritic changes. Then their life seems to change due to psychological reasons, discomfort around the affected joint and mobility of themselves being reduced.

It is so important to keep joints moving correctly. If you don't keep using the joint, that particular joint will stiffen up more and more and the pain increases.

The MBST therapy helps the physiotherapist to clear these symptoms alongside conventional physiotherapy. This treatment is successful.

Information on physical activity you can undertake during MBST treatment is given during the assessment. Instruction is given on exercise which matches rehabilitation and recovery during the effect of MBST therapy.
