Clare House Physiotherapy is a private practice physiotherapist based in the picturesque village of Baston On the A15 North of Peterborough.
Ann is a Peterborough Physio with over 30 years experience in both private practice and working for the NHS. As an experienced practitioner Ann has used a number of different Physiotherapy techniques to successfully treat thousands of patients over the years.
Physiotherapists have been practicing since the late 1800's and the discipline that is now so widely used to treat a great number of conditions were first developed by midwives in Manchester.
During the First World War physiotherapy was used to rehabilitate injured soldiers and by the end of the war the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy was formed. Today there are a number of other institutions in the UK that represent the profession of which Ann is affiliated such as HPC and Physio First.
Ann is also one of the first practitioners to pioneer MBST treatments in the UK and is now the leading proponent of this type of treatment in the UK. Ann first started using MBST in her practice in July 2007 and has since treated nearly 200 patients to date.
MBST or Magnetic Resonance Therapy is used to treat conditions such as Osteoporosis and Arthritis. It works by encouraging the body to repair cartilage and bone.
This technology is relatively new in the UK but has been used on the continent to treat tens of thousands of patients over the years. Clare House Physio is the only known practice where MBST is available in this region and so we get people from all over the country to receive these treatments.
